Privacy Policy

If you create an account: your name and email address, handled by our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign up using Google or Microsoft, that provider confirms your identity and shares your name and email address with us — we never see or store your password for that account, and the provider knows you use this Service.

If you join the waitlist: your email address, and — only if you choose to give them — your school or organisation, your role, and which plan you were interested in. Ticking the optional marketing box also records that you agreed, and the exact wording you agreed to. Leaving it unticked still joins the waitlist.

If you send feedback: your message, and your account identifier if you happened to be signed in. Feedback sent while signed out is not linked to anyone.

What we deliberately do not collect: we do not log your IP address, set cookies, fingerprint your device, or run any analytics on the waitlist or feedback pages.

Students: we do not maintain a student-account model, and we do not collect student personal information.

We use your account information to operate the Service: authenticating you, saving your circuits, communicating with you about your account, and processing billing for paid plans.

We share information with the following sub-processors as needed to operate the Service: Clerk (authentication and account management), Supabase (database hosting — where waitlist, feedback and saved-circuit data is stored), Vercel (application hosting), and ImprovMX (forwarding email sent to our published address). Each processes your information under its own privacy policy.

We do not currently process payments, so no payment processor holds your information. This section will be updated before paid plans launch.

We do not currently use cookies for tracking, and we do not run analytics. Signing in sets a session cookie through Clerk, which is required for the Service to work and is not used to track you across other sites. If we add analytics we will update this section first.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes. Waitlist and feedback submissions are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer needed for the purpose you sent them for.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@coilyard.co.

Coilyard does not have a student-account model and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Accounts are intended for instructors/administrators, not for direct use by minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
